Tom and Jerry VS Smeshariki
First of all, let us draw our attention to the very essence of the cartoons.
In "Tom and Jerry" gray-white cat chasing a red mouse. This couple captivates the audience with the fact that they are always between two fires: either they are friends, or they quarrel again. The first episode of the animated series was released on February in 1940. First it was called "The cat got a kick" which is a quiete eye-opening: this cartoon has lots of cruel scenes in it; for istance, when each of the main characters tries to put TNT to their opponent or to give a violent blow.
Russian animated cartoon series is also offered for viewing by audiences of any age. In contrast, the idea of creating a cartoon clearly differed from the thoughts of artists at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. If the producer Rudolph Ising wished to revive their ratings on the backgroud of their opponents, who provided sush popular cartoons as "Mickey Mouse" and "Bugs Bunny", "Smeshariki" was created as an educational project for the sake of mental health of children "A World Without Violance" and even was produced with the support of the Ministry of Culture. "Smeshariki" is a young cartoon series, which was presented for the first time in 21st century - on 17th of May in 2004.
Secondly, the relationship of the characters of "Tom and Jerry" is always borded by hostility, when in "Smeshariki" the main point is on intellegence and frienship of the characters .
Moreover, there is no any negative review for "Smeshariki" TV serial, what we cannot say about the reputation of "Tom and Jerry" series: not only the violence can be watched in every seria, but also smoking and drinking are propaganned due to the character`s personalities characteristics.
To sum it up, I would like to share my opinion according to the topic. We can talk much about similarities and advantages or disadvantages of these cartoons. Nevertheless, we like this TV serials as we used to watch them in our childhood, talking about people who were born in 21 century and could watch “Smeshariki”.
